Practice

Sit comfortably and breathe slowly through the nose.
Inhale for five seconds.
Exhale for five seconds.
Continue this rhythm for two to three minutes.

Place your attention in the center of your chest and maintain a steady rhythm.
Bring to mind something you appreciate. This may be a person, an opportunity, or a goal that matters to you.

Purpose

Stabilizes heart rhythm patterns and reduces stress signals to the brain. As the heart becomes more coherent, clarity and emotional balance improve.
